The hours and subjects taught here are regulated by the South Carolina Barber board.

Requirements:

1920 Hours OJT / 1500 Barber College

OJT Tuition - $8000 (payment plan available. Pay in full and save $500) Barber College Tuition - $20,000 unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer financial aid but will can assist in getting you funding. Night classes are currently unavailable.

Beginning March 1st 2024 we will no longer be taking OJT students. It will strictly be a Barber College.

Do you want to learn a timeless art and become a barber? Our mission is to turn men and women into barbers ready for the rigors of running their own business or becoming part of a barbershop team.

What we do

The Barber College launched with the intention of providing the best learning environment for apprentice barbers to prepare them for passing their exams. Our campus is currently located in Bluffton, South Carolina, just outside of Hilton Head Island, SC and Savannah, GA. With faculty that have decades of experience, we will help you shape a career with your hands and the straight razor.

The intent of our school is to make you successful and to provide a steady stream of qualified barbers to a Barbers of the Lowcountry shop. That’s right we incentives all of our students to work in a Barbers of the Lowcountry shop upon graduation. If you choose not to work in a BOTLC location, or you don’t have what it takes our school can be quite expensive.

Our Objectives:

1. To teach the foundations of our trade

2. To share the latest trends in hair styling

3. To demonstrate the art of barbering

4. To prepare students for an immediate career

5. To instruct students in the current laws governing barbers & stylists

6. To provide an instructional program that will lead to a barber license

7. To assist our students and prepare them to run a BOTLC shop or become part of an existing team

8. To emphasize professionalism, ethics and sound business practices

9. To create hands-on opportunities at all times

10. To help our students find gainful employment after graduation
